You don't know what power you have until you make choices in a hard time.
Lord Dragnys
Oh wow! May is almost over and I have been lagging in my postings. Only two postings in April! I must do better. Anyway this posting is more like an overdue promise that I made to a friend of mine. I was supposed to post ages ago, but as usual, my kids had to come first. Sorry, Sir.
I remembered thinking of how we (well, me anyway) spend much of our time reacting to events around us. I was playing a computer game and I was watching the character move across the screen and suddenly a thought occurred, life imitating art. How many times have we reacted to a situation, an event that happens around us. People saying harsh and cruel things to us, we lashed at them. Things happen, we react.
Sometimes we initiate, but most of the time we react.
Initiating takes courage, I think. It requires creativity, and the will to finish what has been started. Reacting is instinct. Which one is easier?
